Our national association was founded on 10 November 2023. Currently, our member dojos are:

• Aikido Leidsche Rijn
• Aikidocentrum Zeist
• Sanshinkai Aikido Utrecht

Services

Sanshinkai Aikido Nederland offers the following services to its members:

• promoting Aikikai Aikido
• providing curriculum and dan exams
• printing certificates and pocket books
• educating teachers
• organizing seminars

Board

Our board is responsible for the execution of the statutes and house rules and currently consists of:

• Mervyn Lewis, president
• Ernst Bechthum, treasurer
• Jan Stomphorst, secretary

Technical Committee

The technical committee is responsible for the execution of the technical regulations and currently consists of:

• Michele Quaranta, 7^th dan shihan, advisor / supervisor
• Sander van Geloven, 5^th dan shidoin, president
• Marcel Kok, 4^th dan fukushidoin, member
• Samir Redžepagić, 3^th dan fukushidoin, member

Affiliations

We are registered at:

• (in the process of registering at) Aikikai Foundation (AF) as an aspiring Overseas Organization working toward Hombu Official Recognition
• Aikido bond Nederland (AbN) as a section. The AbN itself is a member of

  • International Aikido Federation (IAF)
